Year Two in the GLHL: A Pivotal Test for the Killer Bees

The Sun Prairie Killer Bees, fresh off their inaugural season in the Great Lakes Hockey League (GLHL), are gearing up to return to the ice next month with heightened determination.

After a season of growing pains, capped by a memorable win to advance to the GLHL tournament, the Killer Bees are set to build on their foundation and strengthen their place in the league. Players and staff alike are entering the season with higher expectations, stronger chemistry, and a clear vision of where they want the program to go.

“This past year was about laying the groundwork and surviving the gauntlet,” said Michael Lukken, Founder & President of the Killer Bees. “Now it’s about taking the next step—competing every night, improving our consistency, and giving our fans something to get excited about.”

The Killer Bees’ full schedule is set to be released in September, where fans can expect a high-energy atmosphere both on and off the ice. With a returning core, several new talented additions to the roster, and a revitalized drive, the team is confident that season two will be a breakout campaign.

“We’re proud of what we started, but we’re even more excited about where we’re headed,” Lukken added. “The GLHL is very competitive, and we want to prove that the Killer Bees belong.”
